IOP Statement on Gov. Pritzker signing gerrymandered maps:
Gov. Pritzker cannot be trusted. He lied when he said he would veto a legislative map that was drawn by politicians. He lied when he threatened to hike your income taxes by 20% if you didn’t support his Tax Hike Amendment. And he lied when he vowed to root out corruption while also thanking Mike Madigan for his “dedicated public service.
By signing gerrymandered maps today, Pritzker again demonstrates his disdain for Illinois voters and his priority of always putting politics before people.
